The Geek says...

It’s nearing that time when I’ll be returning back to Brizzle again for another academic year. Can’t wait to get away from parents and meet up with me friends :D.

On a more sad note, the broadband set-up aint going as smoothly as i hoped, mainly cos bt is being retarded: i phoned bt to check whether the property had a phone line and the first thing they asked me was the property’s bloody landline number!! it might not even be connected to the telephone exchange so where the fuck was i supposed to conjur this number from?!! I was so tempted to make it up on the spot…curse those stupid bt pillocks…

and jus when I thought painting walls was effort, I was assigned the task of ripping up the vinyl tiles in the bathroom today…only thing was they were superglued onto the floorboard…and so I ended up having to use a hammer and screwdriver and chisel the tiles bit by bit.After 2 hours of non-stop intensive labour with sweat pouring down my face I managed to lift up about half a square metre of tiles…and I had another rooms to go .. In the end we decided to just stick the tile over the old ones and I was left wondering why we couldn’t have done that sooner…?

After that I was given the privelege to drive back which was rather fun, especially the bit where I nearly crashed my mum’s car into another vehicle at this mini-roundabout…mother was not impressed, but she got over that quickly enough :)

so as i got back to my quiet village from another trip to london, i can’t help wondering if the lazy days of chillin’ and fun are about to draw to an end. the first sign of this sad fact cropped up today when i was woken up at 8am by my dad yelling at me to get up and help him do the decorating at our newly-bought property… so i dutifully got my ass out of bed and we left amid the moanings of “ffs we’r so late!!” from my pa..

as if the day culdnt get any better, i was then given the task of painting all the walls in each of the 5 bedrooms-something which is actually a lot harder than u think… then i had the privelege of havin to cook lunch for both of us as well and straight after that a driving lesson! not to mention whilst driving i majorly stalled on top of this hill in front of the lights and by the time i crossed the lights it had already turned red! sucks to b the drivers behind me :P altho tbf they probs r having a better day than me atm…

Yup, as we drove out of dover harbour we were greeted by the unmistakably british weather-rain…how nice :P not only this but we had to get used to having speed limits as most sections of the German Autobahns had none-something which i miss dearly about Germany :(
but in a way i am happy to be back, since it means no more crappy internet connections and no more worrying about whether the person ur tryin to have a conversation with understands WTF ur going on about XD. all in all it was a pretty good holiday…. jus next time im defo gonna go with frends :P anyways there’s some thing that require my urgent attention so bye bye! :)

as of today i have decided to take my geekiness to a whole new level by learning Visual Basic :P. i have to admit it’s actually a lot of fun creating me own applications (albeit the apps were rather primitive) and it’s rather more productive than watching movies and various other crap on the net…:)

on another note im going to germany this sat!! woooooohooooo!!! :D :D have decided to drive there which i thought was rather ambitious? shame that the trip isnt around the 24th august, otherwise i might even pop over to cologne for the games convention and the showcase of CnC 4-the very last installment to the tiberium universe :( :(
oh yeah and of course i cant wait to try the german beers :P (they better have cider as well!!) and hopefully i WONT get drunk.at all.

returned to me boring village, sadly. the week-long stay in london was very enjoyable, loved chinatown (especially the dim sum :P ) and leicester square. one of the best memories of the trip has to be rowin hyde park tho. after humiliating myself and becka for about 20 min, we (or shuld i say becka) finally managed to steer the boat away from the pier and into open water…still at least i now know how to row properly so the effort wasnt all in vain :P
now i hav to find sumthin which will keep me occupied for about a week or so before i go travelling again….speaking of which i miss her already…:(
